SERRA SALT PROJECT IN UAE
Since some years ago, Serra has been involved in a solar saltworks project in Abu Dhabi. From the design and engineering of the saltworks to the supply of salt harvesters, a salt washing line and a salt refinery plant.
- Salt Works Design
Taking into consideration all critical factors such as land areas, soil quality, climatology and biological aspects Serra has contributed to the design of the solar saltworks. By the means of the sun and wind, a natural fraction crystallization of the different salts is produced during the process, thus achieving the highest purity of NaCl in the crystallizer’s ponds.
- Salt Harvester
Serra’s salt harvesters enable the saltworks operator to easily harvest the salt from the field and convey it straight into the trucks for latter offloading into the salt washing line. The salt harvester machine is operated by one person. It is robust all-in-one design, with long life span, manufactured with the best materials for resistance and avoiding corrosion. The capacity of our model R1200 is around 100tph.
- Salt Washing Line
Serra has a unique salt washing system that is based in countercurrent salt and brine in specially engineered screw. Through suspension and dissolution, our salt washing system can remove the soluble and insoluble impurities and thus upgrade the final quality of the salt. The salt washing line has a capacity of 100tph.
- Salt Refinery Plant
Serra offers personalized project-based plants according to the need of every client. Serra can manufacture salt refinery plants that meets the highest standards to produce high quality sea/solar salt for any kind of industry. The capacity of the refinery is 20 tons per hour of free-flowing dry salt.
