INSTALLING A NEW SALT FLUID BED DRYER IN ARGENTINA

During the last month, we have been installing a new salt fluid bed dryer of 15 tons/hour capacity in Argentina for one of the largest salt producers in the country.

Serra’s fluid-bed dryer system is based on a continuous flow of salt particles that are conveyed over a perforated bed.  Hot drying air is blown through the holes of a perforated plate. Conveying of the product is achieved by means of a low-frequency, high amplitude shaker/vibration mechanism. By shacking the product up and down we achieve a uniform drying result with shorter time, optimum temperature and first-in, first-out drying of products.
